"My husband and I absolutely love Shih Tzus. We have two older ones we got in Missouri, and when I found Aleka Shih Tzu on Good Dog, I knew I wanted to reach out. Working with Renée was such a joy. She stayed in touch with us, sent pictures as our baby grew, and made the whole experience feel personal and special.
It was so clear to me that she truly loves each and every puppy and gives them so much hands-on care. Our sweet Anubis is a loving, intelligent boy, and we are beyond grateful for him. "If you are looking for a Shih Tzu look no further than Renee at Alexa Shih Tzus. From our very first conversation I knew she was the breeder I would work with. She is very knowledgeable about the breed and answered all my questions. Because of travel plans that I had she kept the puppy I selected for a few extra weeks. I've had Toby now for 1 week and am absolutely in love! From the first night, he slept in his carrier with not a single whine and has slept through the night, not waking up until he hears me stirring. Toby is smart, funny, playful and an absolute doll. He loves car rides! He already is learning "come" and "sit" and although not perfect in potty training doing amazing for only being with me for a week. I am so happy to have found Renee and her darling Shih Tzu!"

"I have to say that all the other reviewers are spot on with everything they've stated about Renee and Aleka Shih Tzu! It's been about 20 years since I had a shih tzu puppy so I felt like I had a huge learning curve. Renee answered every question and addressed every concern I had and CONTINUES to! I honestly don't know how she does it other than the fact that she's so professional, caring and deeply invested in what she does. My husband and I traveled many hours in just two days, and it was more than worth it to meet Renee and pick up our new puppy who's beyond fabulous in every way. "After searching for my perfect Shih Tzu baby for several years, I came across the Good Dog app, which recommended Aleka Shih Tzu near my zip code. The breeder, Renee, is by far the most responsive, kindest, and most trustworthy expert I have ever met! She takes great pride in her puppies, as demonstrated by the outstanding quality of their health, temperament, and beauty. She took photos every week to update me on how my little guy was progressing, so by the time I took him home, I already felt I had known him since he was born. Renee also guided me on how to resgister him with AKC, as well as put together the most thoughtful care package to take home with my puppy! Her pricing is very reasonable considering the excellent quality of her puppies. My Barkley brings me great joy everyday! He is super smart, potty trained in no time, happy, gorgeous, and extremely outgoing. If my husband will allow it, I will definitely return to her for another puppy in the future! "Renee is an incredible breeder! Kiara is my 7th Shih Tzu. The breeder we always purchased from since my childhood has retired. I was very picky and patient finding a breeder. When I noticed Aleka Shih Tzu, I noticed just by her photos and felt in my heart that she is devoted to her dogs and takes dog breeding serious, which is essential for producing quality shih tzu babies. She goes above and beyond ensuring the litter is top quality by ensuring the parents are also in top health which many breeders tend to forget when being overwhelmed with these little balls of evergy. Our new puppy, Kiara, is probably the most highest quality shih tzu baby I have ever owned. She is the happiest and most excited puppy. She is just tickled pink over life! Though she is a total ball of energy, her tail just wags over everything and she acts like she is training to be the future dog boss of the house LOL. These are all signs of a perfect shih tzu puppy because she is easy to train at the same time. A perfect quality shih tzu will be full of life and energy as a puppy, then they suddenly calm down around 6 months and control their energy on their own. You want a puppy who is silly and full of life. She LOVES to eat LOL. Our vet said she is one of the healthiest and intelligent shih tzu he examined in a long time and asked all about the breeder so he can recommend her to clients. My Bailey is absolutely in love and totally fascinated how brave she is for her size. She was relentless for his acceptance and won his heart almost instantly. I can write all day about this breeder. She is a perfect example of a breeder who us focused on this one breed, and cares more of their quality of life and future, than the money. You will never find a puppy of this quality for this price. The price was the last thing I cared about. I love the way she cares about her buyers before selling her precious babies. Thank you for everything Renee. I hope you see this (I emailed back but not sure you saw it) and would love to connect someday because Kiara was so loved by you and her momma and I am sure she will love to see you again someday."
